In today’s episode I’m sitting down with Kim Zember and we’re talking about same-sex attraction, but really this is a conversation about how we can examine our hearts and our lives and make sure that Christ is the the King of our entire life and topple any idols that are standing in the way on our journey back to His heart and the journey to becoming the women he’s created us to be.

We also talk about Kim’s work in Ethiopia, and how serving the women and children there has led to deeper healing in her own life. This is a beautiful conversation, and one I cannot wait to share with you.

If you’ve ever felt alone in your attraction towards women as a woman, or are looking for resources and advice on how to lovingly support the women in your life who experience same sex attraction, sister, this letter is for you.

Topics we talked about in this episode:

  • What inspired Kim to write and publish her story in book form

  • The role that missionary work played in Kim’s story of healing and finding rest

  • What encouraged you to keep seeking the truth instead of taking the advice of trusted people in her life who told her her romantic relationships with women were good

  • How to say “no” to things we put before God in our lives as Catholic women

  • Kim’s advice for loving people you know who experience same-sex attraction

  • What Kim would share with someone who is listening who experiences same sex attraction herself

  • Kim’s work with Overcome, a ministry that supports people who experience same sex attraction and supports their families, as well
